I’m a UK travel photographer and blogger based in Warrington in the North West of England. By day I work as a freelance graphic designer, marketer and copywriter. When I’m not working, there’s nothing I love more than heading out with my camera and exploring somewhere new.

My love for travel began when in 2016 when my husband and I went on an Interrail adventure around Europe for our honeymoon. It’s safe to say after six weeks of living out of a backpack and managing to not kill each other, we were hooked on the travel bug!
Not long after returning I started up my Instagram account @weekendsandaway (formerly @kel_anne_hunt) to share all of my photos. I had loads of photos just sitting on an SD card in a drawer waiting to be forgotten, so I decided to share them. A couple of years have passed since then and I’ve been to some fantastic parts of the world. I’ve also worked with some great brands and even hosted a few trips as a tour leader in Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine.
Like many people these days, I’ve found that getting the time to travel around work and all the other things life throws at you can be a challenge. This is why I started Weekends and Away. I think everyone should be able to enjoy discovering somewhere new, whether it be on a budget or those once in a lifetime trips. Keep reading to find out how I’ve been doing it for the last few years, and learn from my highs and lows along the way!
My adventures continue, and if there’s one thing I’ve learnt it’s that if you have a passion and you put enough effort and time into it, you will be unstoppable.
